Consulting CareersWe have sometimes have openings for programmers and consultants in SQL Server, VB/C#.NET and Exchange. (We must currently restrict applicants to EU nationals or those with existing UK work permits.) We are NOT recruiting non-technical personnel. The career prospects at DBU are exciting and varied. For the right calibre applicant we offer a significant investment in training and the opportunity of becoming a director/partner in due course. StudentsWe have an active university sponsorship programme for the right applicants. You have to be technically adept with computer programming skills and are probably reading sciences or one of the numerate disciplines at one of the top universities, and you must have demonstrated either a 2.1 or better in university exams or A's and B's at A level. We can pay a termly allowance which can go to the maximum tax free allowance for exceptional candidates, plus wages when working during the vacations (short-term internships). We also provide training to MCPS, MCSE and MSDBA level. Final year?Talk to us is you are in your final year and have a realistic chance of getting a 1st or a 2.1 and have got a burning interest in programming and databases. Starting salaries are from £28,000 pa. More importantly, you would immediately get hands-on experience in a variety of projects, many in leading edge internet and e-commerce areas, as well as further training to commercial qualification levels (MCSE, MSDBA, MSCD). Industrial placement study yearsWe have an interest in talking to students with relevant academic experience who need to complete an industrial placement year. You would gain real experience with a wide variety of clients and would be directed in your work to a better understanding of the techniques we and the industry use. You would also be sponsored through your MCSE examinations. You must have demonstrated academic achievement; we simply do not have the time to respond to candidates with C's and D's at "A" level.
