We have specialised in database design and consultancy since 1986 when we were founded in our original form as Christopher Rosevear & Associates. Since 1992 we have worked closely with developments in Microsoft Windows NT/2000/2003 and the services that run on it. We have concentrated our database research on Microsoft SQL Server.

Our professionals are Microsoft certified. Our directors come from the finance and airline industry (NatWest, Citibank, British Airways). That heritage has given us a strong understanding of the need for accurate, timely information.

Integration

More and more, one technology is not enough. A database without messaging and Intranet access is limited compared to a fully integrated development that allows users to access their daily information needs swiftly and simply.

We specialise in integrating database, web development and group flow messaging.

E-Commerce

Our clients are asking us to help them provide e-commerce solutions, mainly in credit card payment authorisation and processing. We already provide batch-processing software for this purpose and are now working with our clients on real-time multi-currency web based authorisation and clearance.

Migration

Many companies now realise that they must migrate their older databases to more modern, functional developments. We help companies migrate to Microsoft SQL Server (2000 or 2005) and OLAP or Analysis Services from mainframe databases as well as Access and DataEase. For smaller requirements we also help them migrate to MS Access as a front end with MSDE, the smaller version of Microsoft SQL Server, as a backend.

Performance

We convert existing databases or create new ones in MS SQL Server, then tune SQL and messaging databases for performance. Users want quick response; we can help you give it to them. See our SQL optimisation examples.

Flexibility

We are specialists in sparse array management: the art of making fixed structures totally flexible. Instead of redesigning your tables, we can create a schema that allows you to record any attribute and any value for that attribute, whether from a lookup list or ad-hoc; and you can add this functionality whenever you like -- no redesign needed.
